Dr. Pekovic graduated from the Belgrade University School of Medicine in Belgrade, Serbia. She completed a two-year residency in neurology at the University Childrenβs Hospital. When she arrived in the United States, she completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York Medical College.
She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Pekovic is also certified in vestibular assessment and management and an associate of The American Institute of Balance. She has practiced in outpatient facilities in the New York metropolitan area for 10 years.
Dr. Pekovic has been an Attending Physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Centerβs Wakefield Campus since 2006.
